James Alexander
James was previously a founder of Zopa (www.zopa.com) and Strategy Director at Egg during its early growth period. He is also currently a Trustee and CEO of Green Thing (www.dothegreenthing.com), a public service that inspires people to lead a greener life, and a Trustee for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB). James holds an MBA from INSEAD and a first class honours degree from University College, London.
Charlie Curson
Since Charlie joined The Foundation in 2006, he has designed and led projects across many sectors to achieve business growth. He started his career as a graduate with Arthur Andersen before moving to Deloitte Consulting. Charlie holds an honours degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Nottingham University and a Post Graduate MSc from Imperial College, London.
Ali Hewison
Ali joined The Foundation in July 2010 and brings to the team a range of public and private sector experience having previously worked at Golley Slater, COI Strategic Consultancy and JWT London. Ali’s strategy experience covers blue-chip organisations such as Vodafone and HSBC and a range of public sector organisations including the Home Office and the Student Loans Company, where she was responsible for setting up their Customer Insight team. Ali has a degree in Social and Political Sciences from Cambridge University.
Ian Thwaites
Prior to joining The Foundation, Ian worked in Mergers and Acquisitions at Lazard Frères, specialising in valuations and financial modelling for the Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals sector, then in Brand Management for Evian and Volvic. He has a first class BSc in Sports Science from the University of Bath and a Masters in Marketing from St Andrews.
Chris Tidswell
Chris has worked with The Foundation since 2003. His wider strategy consulting experience includes projects with BT, BBC, Siemens and a number of international telecoms clients. He started his career in advertising with JWT and BBH before working with the media and telecoms consultancy Spectrum, and has an MBA from IMD.
